We Are Certified Appraisers
Quaker City Auctioneers provides detailed, accurate and defensible personal property appraisal reports, reflecting fair market, in-place fair market, orderly and forced (auction) liquidation values. Our clients include Banks, Trustees, Receivers, Attorneys, Accountants, Executives, Administrators and Private Business Owners, for the purpose of foreclosure, asset valuation, collateral asset analysis, loan review, refinancing or merger, and acquisition.
QCA employs Certified Equipment Appraisers (CEA) by the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA). This professional appraisal society is associated with the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA) and also adheres to the rules and regulations as set forth by the Uniform Standards for Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP). Our appraisers are active in professional associations in addition to the AMEA and MDNA, including the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), Industrial Auctioneers Association (IAA), and Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Continuing education is an integral part of QCA’s appraisal development and, as required by our clients, we carry Errors and Omissions Insurance.
QCA’s appraisal background has its roots in our many years of experience. Our database and in-house resource library is constantly increasing and being updated with new publications, direct offerings, market data and other available sources of information including on-line national databases. In addition, our daily involvement in the marketplace with buying and selling industrial equipment gives us the current perspective of the business climate and tendencies of buyers and sellers. Our memberships in the IAA and MDNA have forged professional relationships and created a network of information and resources second to none. Lastly, practical auction and liquidation experience lends first-hand knowledge of values and prices.
Our professional, market-tested appraisal reports are completed with great care and accuracy. The detailed reports are defensible and are created to withstand the scrutiny and probing criticism of litigants or opposing parties. We have been called upon to serve as expert witnesses in bankruptcy, civil proceedings, estate settlements and condemnation auctions. This action has become a necessary by-product of appraising today and one in which we have previously been qualified as expert witnesses.
